Kuljinder Singh Sidhu has made his mark as a multitalented and creative mind. Starting as a journalist with an English daily newspaper in 1998, he ventured into business with Ozone Ads Pvt. Ltd. with his friend and co-founder, Dinesh Sood. Next came OXL, headquartered in Jalandhar.
In 2009, they conceptualised Orane International, a beauty and wellness academy founded with the mission to empower the youth and create a generation of professionals. Sidhu quickly realised his vision, opening over 118 schools in India and Canada.
In 2016, he partnered with his brother Vikram Sidhu launched a fashion and diamond jewellery line, JShine, which became an instant hit.
Kuljinder’s business ventures run concurrently with his film career, which began in 2009 with the production of his debut film, “Mini Punjab,” under the banner of OXL Films. After this GurdasMaan-starring musical romantic comedy came “SaddaHaq,” which was a runaway success not just in Punjab but in the international arena as well. Based on a true story, this MandeepBenipal-directed action movie was written by Kuljinder himself.
After this, there was no looking back, as he went on to produce and write the story and screenplay for the 2014 drama “Yoddha: The Warrior.” This featured him playing the lead role. Among his other acting credits are “Shareek” and “Punjab Singh,” where he is seen playing the role of the lead antagonist, LaliSarkaria. His 2019 projects include “Mitti,” directed by Hriday Shetty. Notable among his 2020 releases is “Awasaan’.”
His upcoming movies are Gurmukh, MaurhThe Legends of the fall, Harike& Gulam.
His success mantra: “Hard work and faith!” A philanthropist by nature runs a charitable physiotherapy centre in Jalandhar, apart from regularly organising blood donation camps.
He holds a Master’s degree in English literature and mass communication. He also earned a diploma in film direction from the New York Film Academy and a diploma in journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Berlin.
